class=\"lead\">Renting a historic tram in Milan for a private party costs <strong>from \u20ac2,000<\/strong> for the Classic car and <strong>from \u20ac3,000<\/strong> for the Luxury car: final prices, VAT included, for three hours around the city centre with a dj, a barman and an event manager on board. The car is a flat price: it does not change whether you are ten people or fifty-five. Food and drinks are chosen separately and added on, from \u20ac12 per person for the light buffet to \u20ac60 for the full dinner, with the open bar at \u20ac35 per person. For companies the price list is \u20ac2,500 and \u20ac3,500 plus VAT.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first thing everybody asks, so here is the answer in writing, with every number in it, instead of a generic &#8220;ask us for a quote&#8221;. The price list below has been in force <strong>since 1 October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>What the price of the tram includes<\/h2>\n<p>The tram is hired for <strong>three hours<\/strong>, counted from the moment it leaves the depot, with two fifteen-minute stops along the way. The price of the car includes everything that makes the evening work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the 1930s historic tram with its <strong>driver<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>a <strong>personalised route<\/strong> through the centre of Milan;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>interior set-up<\/strong> of the car;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>dj set<\/strong> with the sound system on board;<\/li>\n<li>the people working with you: <strong>dj, barman and event manager<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>cleaning of the car before and after.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are two cars. The <strong>Classic<\/strong> has cushions, carpet and plants: warm and elegant, it is the choice for eight parties out of ten. If you book through a company and need an invoice, the price list is the third column and 22% VAT is added to the taxable amount.<\/p>\n<h2>Food and bar: what gets added<\/h2>\n<p>Food and drinks are calculated per person and added to the price of the car. Catering is calculated on a <strong>minimum of twenty people<\/strong>, even if there are fifteen of you on board. And from Menu 4 upwards two people are added, once per event: <strong>the chef (food attendant) at \u20ac200 and an extra waiter at \u20ac200<\/strong>. The Buffet menu has neither, as it is designed to go with the drinks.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/discotram-sushi-a-bordo-tram-discotram.jpg\" alt=\"Sushi menu served on board a Discotram historic tram in Milan\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>The Sushi menu served on board: food and bar are handled by us, from chef Fabio Sironi\u2019s kitchen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Two real totals, from start to finish<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Forty people, birthday party, Classic car.<\/strong> Tram \u20ac2,000 + Menu 4 at \u20ac24 each (\u20ac960) + chef \u20ac200 + extra waiter \u20ac200 + open bar at \u20ac35 each (\u20ac1,400) = <strong>\u20ac4,760<\/strong>, that is \u20ac119 per person, everything included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Twenty people, long aperitivo, Classic car.<\/strong> Tram \u20ac2,000 + Buffet menu at \u20ac12 each (\u20ac240) + light open bar at \u20ac30 each (\u20ac600) = <strong>\u20ac2,840<\/strong>, that is \u20ac142 per person.<\/p>\n<p>The rule is easy to see: the more of you there are, the less it costs per head, because the tram is paid for once.<\/p>\n<h2>What is not included<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Food, bar and extra services<\/strong>: they are chosen and added, as you saw above.<\/li>\n<li><strong>There are no toilets on board<\/strong>: at the two stops we use the bars and venues nearby, and our staff walk the guests there.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Outside catering is not allowed<\/strong>: food and bar on board are handled by us. It is not a commercial rule, it is a practical one \u2014 on a working historic tram, loading times, food storage and cleaning have to be handled by people who know the vehicle. <strong>The cake, on the other hand, you can bring<\/strong> (cake service \u20ac4 per person), or we make it, from \u20ac250.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Logos and branding on the outside of the car<\/strong>: not part of a private hire. In the busy months \u2014 May, June, December \u2014 it is worth moving earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The mechanism is simple: we hold the <strong>date on option for 24 hours<\/strong>, free of charge; the date is actually locked with a <strong>\u20ac1,000 deposit<\/strong> by bank transfer.
